Volunteers from High Country Fly Fishers led classes in fly rod building one night a week over a 3-month span allowing veterans to complete a fly rod at their own pace. Rod components were donated by nationally-known retailers and assembled completely under HCFF supervision. Veterans were then able to use their hand-crafted fly rods at fishing events hosted by HCFF many times during the year.
