Several years ago, Utah DWR obtained permission from landowners for fishermen and fisherwomen to cross private property to access the Weber River and this access almost always requires crossing a barbed-wire fence on a wooden crossover. As a community service, HCFF has been repairing and replacing the crossovers using club funds and volunteer labor, but in November 2021 the club was pleased to support Boy Scout Ammon Beachem’s Eagle Scout Project. The club provided guidance and purchased materials for Ammon, family members and Scouts from Oquirrh Mountain Troop 7 to replace three of the most-used crossovers.
